Bringing drama to the Cotswolds
The Wychwood Players are a thriving amateur dramatics group based in the beautiful village of Shipton-under-Wychwood. We normally perform two main productions every year at the New Beaconsfield Hall, which has been our base since it first opened.
The Players pride themselves on presenting their audiences with a balanced programme of interesting theatre performed to a high standard. The friendly, cooperative atmosphere which is a hallmark of the Players encourages and nurtures members to develop their particular skills.
New members are warmly welcomed and are able to take part in many activities. There are numerous opportunities for involvement in stage craft, backstage work, or front of house. The only limits are those of time and energy!

Our President
Dear Friends,
Wanted to say a huge 'Thank You' for the gift of the beautifully engraved tankard. It means so much to me. I accidentally broke my favourite beer mug some weeks ago and was furious with myself for being so clumsy! Now I have something even better in its place and I can assure you that my beer tastes considerably better than it ever does from an ordinary kitchen glass! As you can see I've already taken it into use on a daily basis.
The wonderful montage of pictures that Mandy so carefully put together is a fantastic reminder of all the good times we shared together on the Players stage. Strangely I can remember most of the lines associated with the images, which is very good considering that I probably didn't remember them at the time on stage!!! Once my office is no longer being used as a production office by my lovely daughter I will hang the montage on the wall which will be a daily reminder of all the laughter and camaraderie we shared over the years.
I look forward to the time when we can all meet together once more and I can thank you personally.
Luv and Kind Thoughts to you all,
Dudley Thompson
