Lighting up the Players and into the future.

"The Wychwood Players' productions are normally staged at New Beconsfield hall, a bit of a misnoma as the hall was actually built over 20 years ago. At that time, the Players had the opportunity to contribute to the building plans to ensure that suitable infrastructure was built in to enable us to install some professional stage lighting. This not only enhances our productions, but is also available for other hall user groups thereby benefitting the community. On each production, the lighting team works closely with the director to ensure that the appropriate stage atmosphere is created, as well as providing special effects where required.

The existing analogue lighting system is getting quite old now and the lights are not very eco-friendly, so we have recently taken the decision to upgrade to a digital system. This will enable us to use more environmentally friendly LED based lights, as well as providing a more flexible control system with which to further enhance the quality and spectacle of future productions."
